Busy Philipps, whose new QVC late-night talk show premieres on May 8, is already talking — this time about receiving an ADHD diagnosis after taking her daughter, Birdie, to be evaluated.

“My older daughter was having some issues in school … and literally in the evaluation, my ex-husband, Marc [Silverstein], we were looking at each other because everything the doctor was asking Birdie and talking about, I was like, ‘But that’s me. That’s what I have,’” she told Us Weekly on Wednesday.

The 44-year-old“Girls5eva” actress revealed she always felt like “there was something wrong” with her, but said receiving her diagnosis and getting on medication changed her life.

“I had a really difficult time completing tasks. … I would forget or I would mix up times for play dates. I would mess up the kids’ schedule and my schedule,” she described of herself prior to treatment.

ADHD, which stands for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, is one of the“most common neurodevelopmental disorders of childhood that often lasts into adulthood,” according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Philipps, now a spokesperson for Qelbree, a nonstimulant ADHD treatment approved for adults, told USA Today that while she learned more about ADHD symptoms on social media, she encourages her fans to seek professional medical advice.

“We all have to be critical thinkers, and we all have to be able to understand that the internet is not the be-all, end-all of everything and sometimes not even the most truthful information,” she said.

As far as her daughter is concerned, the “Freaks and Geeks” alum said Birdie is doing “really well.” The 15-year-old was also diagnosed with epilepsy following a December seizure during an outing in Sweden.

“She’s on a medication, she’s under a doctor’s care and so far, so good,” Philipps shared with Us Weekly. “She’s been managing it really well.”
